The records center of Security Archives, Inc. is constructed of steel and concrete and is fully sprinklered. Our detection systems include both perimeter and motion burglar alarms, fire alarms, and water flow central station monitoring. All access to our facility is controlled. How do you keep track of all the records you store? Security Archives, Inc. has a proprietary software program called REcords Management On-line System (REMOS). Security Archives, Inc. designed and developed this software to allow us to continually develop new enhancements and features as our customers need them. We offer both carton level and file level management with our REMOS system. Carton level management provides the carton number, records center location, carton description and the carton's status (in or out). File level management offers the ability to designate specific fields for input. The file management database also shows the carton number, records center location, and status of each file. Will Security Archives, Inc. help us develop a retention schedule? Security Archives, Inc. offers records management consulting to all of our clients, including assistance in development of a retention schedule. If we are not already a client, will Security Archives, Inc. help us to develop a retention schedule? The consulting services of Security Archives, Inc. are marketed both as an independent service and in conjunction with other services. Each service offered by Security Archives, Inc. is unbundled. The flexibility of our proprietary software allows us to develop a particular report designed to meet your business' specific needs. We have on-line capabilities for our customers. This allows our customers to access their database via modem to conduct inventory searches and place orders. How long should records be stored? Recommendations on record retention depend on the particular records in question. We provide our clients with a suggested guide for a record retention schedule, however, please consult your attorney and accountant prior to implementing a company retention schedule. |
